Just wanted to share my opinion on the topic so here goes.

The old system where they were randomly dropped a couple at a time later in the era, the top 2 alliances were usually ready and in place for the majority of the relics almost every era.

Released at tick 1, i just dont think this is fair to the majority of players as the leading team can quickly and easily round them up quickly distancing all other alliance in power and leads to a severely boring era for all players.

Last era on E3, we were all kind of caught off guard when the relics were dropped around tick 500 randomly around the world, giving alot of alliances a fair shot at them, this was the only era in the past year i have been playing, that each relic was fought for, not a single relic was "handed over", this was by far the most interesting era i have played.

I think element of surprise of when relics will be dropped makes gives everyone more of a fair chance, dont make it a set time frame, make it random anywhere between like tick 250 and tick 1000, and i dont think a completely automated process of release is such a good idea as a admin can review a world and try to determine what would make things most interesting, if there is a problem of accusations of biased, then perhaps make it partially automated in regards to locations and how many at a time, but let a admin decide "when" as to ensure a interesting era. Also you might consider less troops on relics released early, more troops on ones released later, give the smaller growing alliances a shot at the relics as well.

In regards to making relics immune to spys and nukes, all that would do is to ensure that once again, only the strong alliances have a shot at relics, smaller alliances would be afraid to attack the relics and be left with no chance of defending them.

Relics being "turned over", not a big fan of this, but really dont have a good suggestion on how to deter this type of thing. All i know is that having to actually fight for all 10 of them last era, i personally thought made it a more interesting era.

I say make them spawn at tick 500, but make them automated, but make sure they are spread all over the world. This way i think that the round will last past tick 750 but not go to far also, and with the relic still being able to get hit by Spies, Nukes and Ion cannons, which will allow alliances not to lose all of thier units and be able to defend it against other alliances which could led to big wars since the alliances wont lose alot of thier units (I like big wars.) So make them spawn at tick 500, make them automated, spread them apart when they spawn, and allow them to be hit by Nukes, Spies, and Ion cannons.

Have less units on the relics about 100-200 so it would be easier to capture

andrew get the old system back with the relics.

if you find the relic you get it for your own no flying with it.

its stuck to your colony like the old client:) its more cool and more watch/fights.

now people dont fight for the relic most people give it away so no nice fighting:)
