ACTA was signed in 2011 in USA. So people are just slowpokes. SOPA would give the government the power to take down sites, censor sites in America, and censor search engine's results.

ACTA is more directly aimed at piracy, it gives border costums the right to search your MP3 player, computer, cellphone for illegally copied things. And other laws that makes it easier for the media industry to pray on those wh has pirated things.

SOPA is not dead. It is already slated to come back to the floor next month.

Be vigilant. I doubt they will be so eager to advertise it next time.

And as far as ACTA is concerned, its already a done deal

I was thinking dressing up in Guy Fawkes costumes and throwing knives at government officials. But sure protesting can work.
