When I go to change my forum avatar, there seems to no longer be the option of simply picking an image from your saved images any more, so you're forced into having to paste a URL with your desired avatar on it. Which doesn't work most of the time because the image is too large, which was not a problem before because you could edit the image dimensions with paint when it was saved on your computer.
Is this the case or am I just being thick and have missed something?

uploading ur own avatar was removed becuz of the large amount of images hosted on our site, to the point that we might have become an image hosting service.
u can now only use avatars that is hosted outside

Upload your avatar on http://www.tinypic.com it allows you to choose the type like:-Forum image,avatar,msg board,template etc so that you dont have the problem of dimensions. cheers!

Correct. The image files hosted here were becoming quite expansive, and were eating up resources we could otherwise devote toward the game itself. We ultimately decided to devote those resources to the game. Apologies for any inconvenience.
As mentioned by P4r4sit3, tinypic.com is a perfectly functional place to hook up your online images library for use wherever you see fit.
