well,,, when the unstoppable force meets the immovable object, it merely passes by and says; "your life must be boring." to the object and continues right on it's way... orrr conceding the implication that these two objects are colliding,, the unstoppable force reverses, or bounces because of the equal and opposite force of the immovable object. you two are just mind rapeing each other... i don't get it

This brilliant alternate view point (props bro!) has inspired me to reconsider the question.

It's so obvious, that I can't believe I didn't realize it before! The key to this game is not in the answer but in the realization that the question has many answers! MiKolives reveals this with his beautifully phrased retort. How wonderful! I feel like a Samurai in training, just grasping the deeper meaning behind an exercise I have been doing for days.

My answer:
The Unstoppable force will meet the Immovable object and the Immovable object will permit the force to go through it, remaining unmoved. Thus ... neither entity compromises its essential nature while all conditions of the original statement are met satisfactorily.

It goes through! The whole question was a freaking martial arts mind game! Brilliant!

NO
The unstoppable force is a force that can move anything, not a force that cannot be stopped from exerting. We've been through this and you've agreed with me on several occasions--force that cannot be stopped from exerting is a constant, not unstoppable force. The force passing through the object means that the force has not succeeded in moving the object, only that the force has not been stopped from exerting (i.e., constant).

And Miks second point is incorrect since the unstoppable force has been stopped and reversed.

I realized this last night, that in order for it to reverse, it's velocity would need to become zero, thus as you sayy,, stopping it.

I solved this though,

Consider an angular impact. :o

Stop making it so complicated Duo! You are adding superfluous definitions to a relatively simple concept that has relatively no relation to the original concept.

Just because the Unstoppable Force moved through an object doesn't mean it was stopped. Just because a force moved through it doesn't mean the Immovable object was moved...

My point remains.

maybe when they hit the energy of them is so powerful the universe explodes or maybe they pass right through each other if they pass through the force isnt stopped and the object isnt moved

its just a jet running into a wall there are no such things as unstoppable forces or immovable objects the mass for the object would be so great that it would collapse into itself and create a black hole or singularity

This one is easy.

There is no unstoppable force, and there is no immovable object. These two objects do not exist.

Therefore, you are basically debating whether leprechauns or fairies are more real.

There is no such thing as an unstoppable force, and there is no such thing as an immovable object.

Case in point, say you call a mountain an immovable object. The problem is that the earth moves, so therefore the mountain itself is already moving. Also, tectonic plates etc. but you get my point.

You would do better to debate whether the chicken or the egg came first.

If you wish to continue this debate, you should provide examples. Otherwise, you are uselessly debating fairy tales. There is NO right answer for a scenario that does not exist.
